mopidy-mpris software package provides Mopidy extension for controlling playback through MPRIS, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mopidy-mpris
mopidy-mpris is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mopidy-mpris package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mopidy-mpris *
You will get with mopidy-mpris package name, version, architecture and description in a table
